Rentals are doing very well in the Keys. Rental rates have finally caught on and there is money to be made. Keep in mind, these are perfect for a 1031 exchange. There are rental restrictions: Some complexes allow daily rentals, some weekly, most have a 28 day minimum. Obviously daily rentals yield the most income but they are a bit harder to finance: at least 30% down.
